City of Marina, California—Sea Haven, a new residential community along the Monterey Bay, in the city of Marina, has sold more than 50 homes since its July Grand Opening celebration, generating over $46 million in sales revenue. Sea Haven is currently comprised of three neighborhoods, with more on the way, and the first homebuyers have started moving into what has become one of the hottest housing markets in the Monterey region.
“We’ve had thousands tour the model homes since we opened,” said Glen Yamamoto, Project Manager for Sea Haven. “The majority of interest is coming from the Silicon Valley and Bay Area, as well as Salinas and the local Monterey region.”
“The neighborhoods of Villosa, Layia and Larkspur appeal to a wide range of prospective buyers,” continues Yamamoto. “The homes are not only near the sea, but they also appeal to the multi-generational family who have aging parents who may need to live in the home, or returning adult children, or they want a home office, or they want ample room for visiting grandchildren. There really is something for everyone here.”
Sea Haven will offer more than 1,000 new homes spread across 248 acres on the former site of the Fort Ord U.S. Army Base. There are 35 acres of parks, open space, Oak Grove Preserve and every home is less than 800 feet from one of these features. Additionally, Sea Haven is located within close proximity to a network of hiking and biking trails, the Marina State Park, Fort Ord Dunes State Park and the Fort Ord National Monument.
